Peter Jay has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. With over 30 years’ experience, his career path within the electrical transmission business spanned application engineering, specialist support, maintenance and commissioning.
He provides asset management training and assessments using PAS 55 and ISO 55000.
Peter was a key member of the working party on the first The IAM Competences Framework. In 2017, Peter led the work to produce the IAM Asset Management System Application Guide. The purpose of this guide was to set out a practical and pragmatic approach that will help organisations on the asset management journey, to develop and put in place an asset management system that will not only achieve formal conformance with ISO 55001, but will enable and embed good practice as described in the IAM’s ‘Asset Management – an anatomy’ and supporting subject specific guidelines.
Peter is a Fellow of the Institute of Asset Management and one of its founding members.
