Gabriel Kirwan

Gabriel Kirwan worked for 30 years in the electrical utility industry, holding a variety of senior management positions in both the networks and supply businesses for ESB Ireland and, in particular, the areas of asset management and utility regulation. He has carried out assignments in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America and has also conducted business in Spanish and French, and is a regular speaker at international conferences.

He regularly contributes to Masters and other programs at Dublin City University Business School and is also a qualified executive coach.

Gabriel is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland and a Fellow of the UK’s Institute of Asset Management.

Kal Jassal

Kal Jassal has over 25 years’ experience in the marine, oil and gas industries covering facility construction, operation, inspection and maintenance. He has extensive knowledge of risk and integrity management processes, inspection approaches, remediation methods, and shutdown, turn-around and life-extension strategies.

He is knowledgeable in the use of information technology applications to support operations, maintenance and asset planning.

Kal has been instrumental in the development and implementation of a number of business critical strategies to meet evolving corporate and regulatory requirements. This included risk and integrity processes, performance management, information technology and data transformation, and business management systems.

He is a qualified Naval Architect, a Chartered Engineer (UK), and holds a MSc in Welding Technology and an MBA. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds an IAM Certificate in Asset Management through The Institute of Asset Management. Kal is one of our IAM Endorsed Assessors and Trainers and provides asset management training and assessments using PAS 55 and ISO 55000.

Craig Demanuele

Craig Demanuele has 28 years asset management experience spanning the utilities, petrochemical and transportation and housing sectors. Craig adopts a balanced approach, aligning top down strategies, with a bottom up practical hands on solutions. He has 14 years’ experience delivering asset management transformations for major companies and has delivered asset management ISO 55001 development projects in the UK and Middle East, including several regional and national process and utility companies.

In addition, Craig has designed and facilitated over 25 asset management training courses across various countries over the last 5 years. One of our most commended trainers, Craig covers topics such as Asset Management, Asset Information Management, Maintenance and reliability management as well as certified ISO 55001 training for candidates seeking Certificate or Diploma qualifications through the Institute of Asset Management.

Jose Duran

José Duran is the Woodhouse Partnership Director of Operations in Latin America. He provides education, training and consulting services to the oil and gas, energy, mining, processing and manufacturing sectors. With over 20 years’ experience he has a deep technical knowledge in the maintenance, reliability, and performance improvement asset management areas.

He is one of our IAM Endorsed Assessors and Trainers and provides asset management training and assessments using PAS 55 and ISO 55000.

José is an IAM Professional Asset Manager and has a MSc in Maintenance Engineering, is a member of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers and its Reliability Maintainability Committee.

Richard Blackman

Richard Blackman is a Chartered Engineer and has over 25 years’ experience in engineering, maintenance, operational and asset management. He has worked in a multitude of industries from nuclear power; pharmaceuticals; oil & gas; defence, steel; facilities; hospitals and manufacturing to food. And in many countries and regions from Europe, Middle East, China, Australasia and USA.

Richard is one of our IAM Endorsed Trainers and Assessors and provides asset management training and assessments using ISO 55000. Richard is a brilliant trainer and regularly delivers our IAM – Foundation, Certificate and Diploma courses. As well as delivering Risk Management, RCA, FMEA and RCM training courses and facilitation. Richard is a member of The Institute of Asset Management and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Tom McDermott

Based in North America, Tom McDermott previously held the position of Director of Asset Management at the New York Power Authority (the largest state-owned utility in the US, operating 17 large hydro and fossil generating facilities and more than 1,400 circuit-miles of extra high voltage transmission lines).

He has 20 years’ experience specializing in high voltage engineering, transmission line design and power plant modifications. During his tenure, he introduced and managed the development of industrial and knowledge management methodologies to improve productivity.

Tom has extensive experience in asset management training, coaching and mentoring and is one of our IAM Endorsed Assessors and Trainers, providing asset management training and assessments using PAS 55 and ISO 55000.

Alex Thomson

Alex Thomson is a Chartered Engineer and has over 25 years’ experience in the maintenance and asset management field in a range of industries from defence facilities, manufacturing to food.

He contributed to the 2008 IAM/PAS 55 review and is a subject matter expert on shutdowns and outages for the IAM Knowledge Centre. Alex is one of our IAM Endorsed Assessors and Trainers and provides asset management training and assessments using PAS 55 and ISO 55000.

Alex is an IAM Asset Management Professional and a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.

John Woodhouse

Managing Director of The Woodhouse Partnership Ltd, John Woodhouse is one of the most widely known experts in integrated asset management. He is a Founder, Life Fellow and Chair of Experts Panel for The Institute of Asset Management. John chaired the BSI/IAM development of the PAS 55 standard for optimal management of physical assets, and was UK Principal Expert in the development team for the first International Standard for Asset Management ISO 55000.

John also led the development of the first published Asset Management Competences Framework (IAM 2006), and the international MACRO and SALVO collaboration programmes in cost/risk optimization of asset management decisions and life cycle management.

John is an IAM Professional Asset Manager and has recently worked with the IAM to introduce two new courses – Creating and Maintaining a Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and (coming in 2022) ISO 55001 Gap Closure and Developing an Asset Management System (AMS).

Andy Hunt

Andy Hunt has over 20 years’ experience in the water and rail industries, both regulated and commercial operations, and 3 years’ experience of quality assurance in manufacturing. He has extensive knowledge of utilities asset management and information technology applications for operations, maintenance and asset planning. He has gained a wealth of expertise in risk and reliability engineering, performance management, information technology and transformation, organizational design and management systems.

He is one of our IAM Endorsed Assessors and Trainers and provides asset management training and assessments using PAS 55 and ISO 55000.

Andy is a qualified electrical and electronic engineer who has an MSc in Asset Management and is a member of The Institute of Asset Management.

Kal Jassal

Jose Duran

John Woodhouse

John Woodhouse, director general de The Woodhouse Partnership Ltd, es uno de los expertos más conocidos en la gestión integrada de activos.
