The course provides practical insight into the development of Creating a meaningful Asset Management Strategy (also known as a Strategic Asset Management Plan or SAMP), including alignment with organizational objectives and engagement of the workforce, goal-setting, prioritization, risk management, performance monitoring, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Taught by Kevin Carman, one of our highly experienced asset management experts, and guests, this course includes plenty of real-world examples and interactive exercises.

Your tutor – Kevin Carman
With 42 years of service within the Energy sector (Bonneville Power Administration/Department of Energy), Kevin’s experience includes Construction, Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Asset Management. Kevin was instrumental in the development and implementation of the framework and design of Asset Management within the electricity sector, including 12 years of active support of the Department of Energy’s Infrastructure Security and Energy Restoration program. His experience as a skilled Crafts and Trades hourly worker combined with his Asset Management background gives him a unique perspective in developing “Bottom-up/Top-down” Asset Management program development to include policies, procedures, processes, and leading Change Management within an Organization. Kevin has developed extensive Asset Management Objectives, Strategies, and Plans; including leading reorganization efforts to obtain maximum efficiencies within the Energy Sector. Kevin is also a trained and skilled Root Cause Analysis practitioner.
